"<b>A Supplicatory Prayer for Immersion on Shavuot Night</b>",
"A person should be very alacritous, about the immersion of Shavout night in the early morning a little before the dawn, to immerse in a mikveh or a spring of flowing water if he has one. This is to receive the addition of holiness from the supernal Crown that is drawn on this night through [Torah] study; and that is called the fiftieth gate. And it is stated about it (Ezekiel 36:25), \"And I have sprinkled pure water upon you, etc.\" And it is like the Ari, may his memory be for life in the world to come, said in the Shaar HaKavannot [regarding] the secret of this thing at greater length, see there. But before the immersion, he should say this supplicatory prayer: ",
"For the sake of the unification of the Holy One, blessed be He, and His Divine Presence - with fear and love and love and fear - and to unify the letters, <i>yod</i> and <i>hey</i>, and the letters, <i>vav</i> and <i>hey</i>, in the name of all of Israel: Behold I prepare myself to be from the attendants of the holy queen mother, Rachel, the anchor of the house. And behold I now come in the early morning of the day of the Shavuot festival at the time that is called the morning star (<i>ayelet hashachar</i>) to immerse in the mikveh (in the spring of flowing water), to repair the root of this immersion in the supernal place, to draw forth purity and immersion from the supernal Crown which is drawn forth on this night. And it is called the fiftieth gate; and it is stated about it (Ezekiel 36:25), \"And I have sprinkled pure water upon you, and you shall be purified.\" And behold I am prepared to immerse four times, corresponding to the four letters of [God's] name, may He be blessed, with the vocalization of <i>kamatz</i> (he should intend to think of the name with a <i>kamatz</i> under every letter). And behold I am also prepared to immerse a fifth time, corresponding to the light of the supernal Kindness, which is the supreme will that is revealed in the eighth constellation that is called, Forms Kindness. 'May the favor of the Lord, our God, be upon us; let the work of our hands prosper, prosper the work of our hands!' \n"
