# Deer detection image model

This model is used in a deer repellent (peurakarkotin) device.

### Model description

3M param model is finetuned from [YOLOv8n by Ultralytics](https://github.com/ultralytics/ultralytics/tree/main)

## Dataset

~3150 images of deers or negatives that were falsely detected as deer during testing.

- 74% [deer detection dataset from Roboflow Universe](https://universe.roboflow.com/object-detection/deer-detection-mvfx0) (cleaned up from 3500 to 2300)
- 26% images from deer repellent
  - 6,5% positive images
  - 13% augmented images
  - 6,5% negative images
