AI & ML interests

Civility Lab is a collection of researchers at multiple universities studying (in)civility in its various forms, especially in online spaces. We focus on, among other things, how (in)civility is defined and perceived, the factors that encourage it, how it relates to various forms of identity, how it effects audiences, and how computers can be trained to track it in different information environments.
