"What does it mean to Get Curious?"

This phrase was on my mind last month as I attended the #APMM Academy held in Hamburg, Germany 📍🇩🇪.

I joined over 100 incredible APMMs, facilitators, senior leadership, mentors and guest speakers for a week of learning, inspiration and connection.

The shared experiences, spirited discussions, and networking gave me a renewed excitement towards my marketing journey.

Key moments for me were:

✨ Jason Fass's tips on the importance of getting to know the product for #productmarketers.

✨ Tobias Rauscher's advice on social-first marketing and co-creating campaigns with creators

✨ Dr. Mzamo Masito (PhD)'s advice on leveraging influence, even when you don't have positional power

The city of Hamburg was a picturesque setting for a thrilling scavenger hunt as we toured the city exploring key landmarks and supporting local businesses (highly recommend the Hamburg pretzels!)

The highlight of the academy was "The Pitch" - a case competition where we brought our creative and strategic best to ideate and build narratives to support local Ads and Pixel teams.

As we wrapped up the APMM Academy, we left Hamburg not just with memories of the beautiful boat dinner and the charm of the city, but with an invigorated spirit and deeper understanding of marketing at Google.

The quest to 'Get Curious' has just begun, and I'm looking forward to the exciting journey ahead.
