Hi, belated thanks for releasing this model. Is translating from Finnish to/from English a task this model would do well on? If not would you happen to know a great model for this use-case?

This is not trained on translation samples but that might change in our next research projects.
There are better models for translation from Opus-MT: https://huggingface.co/Helsinki-NLP/opus-mt-tc-big-en-fi
Or NLLB is also Ok https://huggingface.co/facebook/nllb-200-3.3B
Or use google translate through deep_trans: https://github.com/DeepLcom/deepl-python
Or deepl: https://www.deepl.com/en/translator (They have API and batch document translation)
