As you probably know, you can duplicate a repository using the following tool. Even if you do publish it, a copy will do.

@minaiosu It looks like we'll have to back up the data locally. There is a possibility that models that are only on the currently active HF will also disappear.

my local data server is full, i have been archiving since 2022,i started archiving here after civitai started deleting stuff and my served fulled, i don't think they will delete the data, they will force you to probably upgrade to higher plans to keep using and archiving data, they currently have only the PRO but some servives have more plans for more local storage so i think its probably going to happen the same

As for the storage limit, it seems that the prevailing view, based on the HF staff's post on Reddit, is that it will not be extreme.

Incidentally, even with the Pro plan, 500GB will only become 1TB, so it will hardly change. Even if there is a plan above that, it will not become 10 or 100 times...

I haven't added that function yet.
After all, it's based on Repo duplicator...
But I think it's possible. I'm too busy with the above-mentioned related work to do it right away, though.

I implemented this function. However, I wasn't able to skip files that were too small for the hash to be registered in LFS.
I think it would be faster if skipping worked for large files.
