Question on the cc-by-nc-sa-4.0 Licence

First of all, in the few tests I did, amazing model - great job!

Just checking if the licence is correct and as intended. To my knowledge, NuMind is MIT licensed and Few-nerd is cc-by-sa-4.0 (which has specific limitations for changing licence after something is build upon the subject see - https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/deed.en).

A number of times folks mix up cc-by-sa-4.0 and cc-by-nc-sa-4.0 so decided to check if that is the case.

In any case, great job and great model.

Hi @krumeto !

I think that FewNERD's license is clearly cc-by-sa-4.0. It can be used for commercial purposes as well, always while you comply with the rest of the terms you pointed in that link.

Cheers!

@guishe Thank you! Perhaps my question was not precise. I was mainly asking if this model's license is cc-by-nc-sa-4.0 (non-commercial) when both the base model and the main dataset used are commercially permissive.

@krumeto sorry, my fault, I didn't realized the license of the model card. You're completely right. Also SpanMarker is Apache 2.0, so there isn't any commercial use inconvenient. Let me change it to cc-by-sa-4.0 which is the one from FewNERD, as you said.

Thanks!
