This is the Qwen-14B model fine-tuned using QLoRA (4-bit precision) on my claude_multiround_chat_1k dataset, which is a randomized subset of ~1000 samples from my claude_multiround_chat_30k dataset.

Prompt Format

The model was finetuned with the Vicuna 1.1 prompt format:

A chat between a curious user and an artificial intelligence assistant. The assistant gives helpful, detailed, and polite answers to the user's questions.

USER: {instruction}
ASSISTANT:

Use in Text Generation Web UI

Qwen-14B necessitates the use of the --trust-remote-code flag as well as installing several python libraries, including tiktoken, einops, and transformers_stream_generator. Once you have those installed you should be good to go.

Example Usage

USER: First, give a brief overview of Chinese cuisine, including its regional diversity. next, describe the importance of the five flavors in Chinese cooking. Then, mention three popular Chinese dishes and their main ingredients. After that, provide a popular Chinese cooking technique and an example of a dish prepared using that technique. Finally, discuss the role of tea in traditional Chinese culture.

ASSISTANT:

  1. Overview of Chinese Cuisine: Chinese food is known for its diverse range of flavors and textures, reflecting China's vast geographic area and ethnic groups. It features four main cuisines - Sichuan, Cantonese, Hunan and Shandong. Regional specialties include spicy hot pot from Chongqing, dim sum from Guangdong and seafood from coastal areas like Fujian.

  2. Five Flavors: In Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are five basic tastes or flavors - sweet, sour, bitter, salty and umami (savory). These represent yin and yang forces within our bodies. Balance among the five flavors is considered vital for good health.

  3. Popular Dishes: Some famous Chinese dishes include Kung Pao chicken made with chicken, peanuts and chili peppers; Sweet and Sour Pork consisting of pork stir-fried with pineapple and vegetables; and Mapo Tofu featuring tofu cooked in a spicy sauce of garlic, ginger and chili bean paste.

  4. Stir-Frying Technique: One common method of cooking Chinese food is stir-frying where meat, vegetables and sauces are quickly tossed together at high heat. This preserves nutrients while infusing dishes with aromatic flavors. An example would be Beef and Broccoli stir-fried over high heat.

  5. Tea Role: Tea has been part of Chinese daily life since ancient times, symbolizing harmony and wisdom. Green tea is most commonly consumed for health benefits and social gatherings around tea sets promote relaxation and conversation.
